SIA “IC pakalpojumi” is a long-cherished dream of Ieva Blehmane and Dace Štamere, an idea about which the girls had while studying at Riga Stradiņš University, Faculty of Public Health. During life, we learn and acquire many different skills and abilities. Undoubtedly, these skills are very important, but none of them allow us to live longer. And when a person loses health, then all other skills and abilities lose value. Then nothing more is needed in life: neither power nor money. Our attitude to health is as if it is given for life. Work is very important in a person’s life and a third of life is spent at work. There is a large number of work environment risk factors in the work environment that affect the employee’s health, therefore it is very important to identify them in order to prevent or reduce their harmful effects and ensure safe and healthy working conditions for employees.
Purposefully moving towards the intended, improving knowledge, working and accumulating experience in occupational safety issues for more than 10 years, SIA „IC pakalpojumi” was founded on February 1, 2011. Based on the Regulation No. 723 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Latvia of September 8, 2008 “Regulations about the Requirements for Competent Institutions and Competent Specialists in Labour Protection Issues and the Procedures for Competence Evaluation”, SIA „IC pakalpojumi” obtained the ISO 9001: 2008 certificate and on August 3, 2012 was declared a competent institution for the provision of labour protection services.
